Since 1 Februari 2004 a new Visa On Arrival regulation is in effect. Visitors who are eligible for a Visa On Arrival will have to pay U$25 for a non-extendable, 60 days valid visa, upon arrival in Indonesia.
Citizens of 22 countries will be offered the facility Visa On Arrival : South Africa, Argentina, Denmark, The United Arab Emirates, Italy, Canada, Poland, South Korea, New Zealand, France, United States, Britain, Australia, Japan, France, The Netherlands, Hungary, Norway, Swiss, Taiwan, Brazil and Finland.
Citizens of 11 countries who offer visa-free travel to Indonesians will be exempt from the new rule : Brunei, Chile, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Macao, Morocco, Peru, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Turkey.
Citizens of other countries must apply for a tourist visa before entering Indonesia, at the Indonesian Embassy in their country.
